WMV (.wmv) is the Microsoft format of media files. For those previously use MS Windows, but have switched to Mac OS, they might face some problems of handling media files. For example, in a powerpoint slide, you embedded some .wmv video files, but they are not working in the Mac anymore. What could you do? At least, you could try to convert the .wmv files into .mov (Mac QuickTime file format) or .avi (Audio Video Interleave format). For this task, you could try this free software:

I’ve tried it and it is easy to use and free for certain period. But I have to warn you that this is not free or open-source software.
